DD's 7th birthday is coming up in May. I have mentioned before that she has had a renewed interest in Bitty dolls lately.
She said she would like the lullaby basket, suitcase and a new bitty for her birthday.
Does anyone have these, and can you tell me about the quality? Is it worth $70? Thanks!

Hi. My DD asked for the Lullaby Basket for either her birthday or Chanukah when she was 5. It's a nice quality item, and the basket has not splintered or anything in the 2 years we've had it. I especially love the pink blanket that came with it. I think $70 was a bit pricey for this item, but her grandparents got it for her.
It has some play value. My DD's Bitty sleeps in the basket when Bitty is not sleeping with her, but it's not like my DD is playing with the basket all the time, nor does she carry Bitty in it much because it's rather bulky.

I have it and love it. It was pricey and even so I still prefer it over the solid plastic crib and solid plastic travel seat. I am just a traditionalist at heart.
I have the older blue ribboned one, but do not think there is much difference.

We don't have it but one of my DD's little friends do. It does look adorable. We have the white plastic crib that Bitty never sleeps in because she always sleeps with DD! It has become a bed for Coconut, Licorice, Rascal, and various stuffed animals.

I have the older one as well, and adored it when I was little. The mattress is SO SOFT! The only problem is the little heart no longer plays a melody...after about 4 years it ran out.

It was the first AG thing we got (with Bitty of course.) That was over 5 years ago and it still looks great! Yes it is pricey but DD has really enjoyed it!

Thanks for all of the reviews!! Now to decide whether to hunt down the older version or order the newer one.

I got this years ago for my goddaughter, before she was old enough for the 18" dolls. I love it. And it seems to me that the only difference between the older one and the newer one is color.
